New Beginning…..
After several years working in the school district, I decided to change paths. I started with Unique Pathways, and just like anything new, I was nervous and unsure. But the staff and leadership team at Unique was friendly and supportive of me right from the start. They were willing and happy to answer all my questions; trust me, I had a lot. After all my years in the workforce, I have never felt so wanted and supported as I have at Unique Pathways.
A DAY IN THE LIFE...
A typical day here usually involves an 8:00 or 8:30 am start where you open and prepare for your session with one of our amazing clients. You will have the support of our BCBAs who will oversee your work and design an individualized playbook for each client. You'll have 2-3 clients per day, and spend 2-4 hours with each of them. You'll provide ABA therapy in one of our thematic treatment rooms and help teach social skills, communication, play, and life skills to name a few. Fun is part of the process, but we do not shy away from the behavior. It is your job to support and teach your client how to handle all the curveballs life throws at them; and, you basically get paid to play with and help kids who need it. It's very rewarding.
